Howard College Vehicle Registration & Parking Information


Thank you for registering your vehicle and taking the time to read this information. The following guidelines have been developed to better inform you of the parking policies and procedures of Howard College. Your parking permit is vinyl static cling and can be placed on any registered vehicle you drive on campus. Please notify the Dean of Students Office of any permanent changes regarding the vehicles you drive while on campus.


Avoid receiving a parking citation by following the rules listed below:

  • Must have a valid Howard College parking permit affixed to front windshield of registered vehicle directly above inspection/registration stickers. Do NOT place on tinted area preventing visibility of the sticker.
  • Always park between two stripes.
  • Campus SPEED LIMIT is 15 MPH.
  • Do not park in the marked VISITOR PARKING areas.
  • When parking in a "non-curb" area (such as the Memorial Stadium parking lot), ensure there is a stripe either in front of or behind your vehicle.
  • Do not park next to any curb painted RED, BLUE or YELLOW!
  • RED indicates fire zone
  • BLUE signifies handicap parking
  • YELLOW signifies loading or construction areas.
  • Students living in Residence Halls are required to park in the Residence Hall parking lots or the Memorial Stadium parking lot Monday-Thursday from 8am - 4pm.
  • No driving or parking on lawn, grass or sidewalks.

  • Should you recieve a citation

  • All parking/traffic citations must be paid in the Business Office within ten business days after receiving the citation.
  • A hold will be placed on student records until citations are paid or dismissed.
  • Individuals wishing to appeal a citation must complete the Traffic Violation Appeal Form and submit it to the Dean of Students Office within three office days following receipt of the citation.
