Computer Services

Howard College will provide to all students computer access for academic purposes. Each campus has at least one computer lab that is open to all students. This access is to aid the students' performance in the classroom. Priority in some computer labs and/or computer access will be given to students currently enrolled in subjects requiring computer access (i.e. Computer Science, Developmental Programs, etc.) Availability to all enrolled students will be on a space-available basis.


Computer Services is located on the Big Spring campus in the Horace Garrett building on the first floor, Rm. 105.


What Computer Services Has to Offer New Students?

  • Free dial-up internet access for students taking 3 hours or more.
  • Telephone support for creating dial-up connections.
  • Resetting of Novell and GroupWise passwords.
  • Training for work-studies in the computer field.
  • Training for interns in the computer field.
  • A list of qualified computer repair persons.
  • Answers to most computer problems.
