COSMETOLOGY

 

Students of Cosmetology may earn a Level I Certificate and be eligible to take the Texas Cosmetology Commission Examination for licensure after the first year.  A second year of study earns the Associate in Applied Science degree.  A licensed operator may study to become a Cosmetology Instructor.   Additionally, there are specialization certificates available in Nail Technology and as a Facial Specialist/Esthetician.  Candidates for the Cosmetology Program must have graduated high school or successfully completed the GED test.  Financial Aid is available for those who qualify.   
     
Students must complete and return both the HCSA Application for Admission and the Cosmetology Program Application.
 

Class Schedule
Monday – Thursday:  8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Friday:  8:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

Students are enrolled twice a year - once in August and once in January.
