Mrs. Lubke has been a Cosmetologist for 33 years.   She received her training
from Varner's School of Hair Design in San Angelo, Texas in 1972.  After owning
and operating a salon for many years in Eden, Texas she moved to San Angelo.  
Mrs. Lubke completed her instructor training at Howard College and has been an
instructor at Howard College since 2002.  She is the High School Cosmetology Director.

 

The High School Program is a two year course.   Students are interviewed
in May of their sophomore year.  Student absences, tardies, discipline,
and grades are taken into consideration during the application process.

 

All hours and requirements are mandated by the State Of Texas.  The course consists of:
1000 clocked hours, numerous practical (hands on) assignments and for the student to
have 500 academic hours by their senior year.  The end result is to take the State Board of
Texas exam and have a licensed profession at the end of their senior year of high school.
