
How to Find a Book
For Books in this Library from a
Campus Computer
- Click on the icon on the computer desktop with the number 5
inside of a circle that states library catalog directly underneath.
This will take you directly to the Sagebrush Spectrum 5 catalog.
- The search window opens, you may type your search terms into the
search space provided.
In Easy Search mode which is the default, you may search using:
- Keywords - Useful for general searches , Covers author,
title, subjects, all in the same search.
- Titles - Works best if you know an exact title.
- Authors - When you know the exact author. Remember, last name
then comma then first name.
- Subjects - Library of Congress subject headings, good for
narrowing down a search such as all books about an author instead of
all books by an author.
In Extended Search mode found by clicking on the top tab, you may
search using: up to three combinations of:
- Keywords
- Titles
- Authors
- Subjects
- Series Title
- Call Number
- Material Type
- Copyright Date
- ISBN
- LCCN
For Books in this Library from Off
Campus
- Go to the East Permian Basin Library Consortium website at
http://www.howardcollege.edu/winnebago/search/search.asp
- Go to set locations, the yellowbutton directly below East Permian
Basin Library Consortium
- Unclick the libraries you do not want to search.
- Click on save on the bottom of the page.
- Put your search terms in the box and click on search.
You may search using the following terms in up to three combinations:
- Keywords
- Title
- Author
- Subject
- Call Number
- ISBN
- LCCN
