Financial Resources Available to HC / SWCID Students
This page serves as a one-stop reference for financial resources available to Howard College students. Time and attention should be spent carefully researching eligibility criteria, deadlines, and application processes. Start by looking through the Financial Aid 101 guide. Each section below (divided by financial aid category) contains a list of available resources with links for information and an application form (if available). For clarification, please click here to view the Current Financial Aid Procedures. Understanding Your Award Letter Once your financial aid is complete, you will be awarded and receive an award letter in the mail. If you qualify for the Pell Grant, the amount shown on the award letter is based on full-time enrollment. If you chose not to enroll in full time, your Pell will be adjusted based on the number of hours you enroll in. If there is a loan awarded on your letter, this is the amount that you qualify to borrow. You do not have to borrow this amount if you chose not to. You can borrow less, or none at all. All loans must be applied for by going to http://www.direct.ed.gov
