PARAMEDIC CERTIFICATION PROGRAM

The Paramedic Certification program is a college-based program that does not require an associate degree. The completion of requirements will enable you to sit for the State Texas Department of Health Certification exam. Upon passing the exam, you will be considered a Texas Certified Paramedic for a period of 4 years during which you may complete continuing education hours in order to keep your certification.

EMSP 1356 Patient Assessment & Airway Management - 3 Credit hrs.

EMSP 1355 Trauma Management - 3 Credit hrs.

EMSP 1161 Paramedic Clinical (80 hours) - 1 Credit hr.

EMSP 1162 Paramedic Clinical (80 hours) - 1 Credit hr.

EMSP 2248 Emergency Pharmacology - 2 Credit hrs.

EMSP 2444 Cardiology - 4 Credit hrs.

EMSP 2348 EMS Operations - 3 Credit hrs.

EMSP 2260 Paramedic Clinical (144 hours) - 2 Credit hrs.

EMSP 2434 Medical Emergencies - 4 Credit hrs.

EMSP 2243 Assessment Based Management - 2 Credit hrs.

EMSP 2261 Paramedic Clinical (144 hours) - 2 Credit hrs.
