Professional Studies

Welcome to Professional Studies Division at Howard College San Angelo! It is our first priority to prepare students to enter into the workforce of the 21st century. The Professional Studies Division offers specialized programs to provide students with the skills that are necessary for employment in an ever changing diverse workforce. Students may choose from a variety of degree and certificate programs in many different career fields.
 
  • An Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree is designed for students who wish
    to enter the workforce after completing two years of college.  AAS degrees require
    specialized courses in a chosen career as well as core curriculum courses such as English, math, and humanities. 
  • Certificates are designed for students who would like to take courses in a specialized
    area of study. Certificates require three or fewer semesters to complete.
