Bianca's Thoughts on Howard College
Why Howard College?
I personally chose Howard College because it’s affordable and I knew that with smaller class sizes students are able to get one on one time with their professors.
Why Dental Hygiene?
Growing up I always loved going to the dentist, my dental hygienist was very welcoming and loving to her patients. The equipment and tools at the Dentist office always caught my interest, so I just knew I had to pick a career that involved teeth.
My goal is to be certified as a dental hygienist, and maybe one day go back to school to continue my education and get my doctorate in dental hygiene.
That’s a tough one. All the professors at Howard College have been great help to me. They all have helped me to succeed and I wouldn’t be who I am today without their support.

Best Studying Advice
A great tool that helps me for studying is highlighting what is needed to learn, then I make flash cards to help me remember the material. If you’re not sure what to study don’t be afraid to ask your professor. And always remember that other students are there to help.
Most Valuable Learning Experience
Being an SGA officer has been beneficial to my life at Howard, it has taught me the wrongs and the rights of how life works. Communication, responsibilities and determination. I’ve also learned that at Howard all the students attending are there to get an education, we all have the same ambition and goals. We are there to learn, get good grades and move on with our lives.
Relax and Have Fun
The best place to relax or actually be stress free is the gym. The gym is my quiet/go to place, I love to feel my adrenaline rushing and just getting to release all my stress.
What I like most about Howard College
The thing I like most about Howard is the atmosphere. Other than the professors being great I enjoy being involved in the clubs and the community involvement that Howard allows the students to be a part of.
What I tell future Howard College students
Get involved if you’re not already involved! Attend different club meetings and try to find your back bone and peers that you can rely on. Always show up to class, even if you are not prepared. Some professors do take off points if you don’t show up to class. And lastly, have fun and enjoy your time at Howard!
