Tracy's Thoughts on Howard College

Why Howard College?
Attending a community college has always appealed to me. I love the smaller student-to-professor ratio which allows for a more intimate and nurturing educational experience. It has afforded me opportunities that might not have been available to a non-traditional student within a university. Its smaller enrollment has allowed me, as Student Government Association President, to get to know more students on a personal level and invest in their success on campus and in the community.

Why Psychology?
I have always been interested in the field of Psychology.

Career Goals

I will be graduating from Howard College in May 2015 with an Associate of Science (with an emphasis on Social Science). I have already been accepted to Angelo State University, San Angelo, Texas and will start classes in August 2015. I am majoring in Psychology with a minor in Communications. After graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science I look forward to completing my M.Ed. in Student Development and Leadership in Higher Education. I would be honored to work for either of the institutions that encouraged and inspired me to find my passion and complete my education. I have a passion for those that desire to better themselves through continuing and completing their college education. I understand there are many obstacles that can get in the way of accomplishing our dreams. I want to inspire and encourage others to set and reach their goals.
