Lisa's Thoughts on Howard College
Why Howard College?
I personally selected Howard because I was going back to school after so many years and felt it would be more accommodating to my needs than ASU. After coming out here and visiting with faculty, staff, and students I was more than convinced Howard was the place for me.
Why History / Psychology?
I have always had a passion for History and I would ultimately love to receive my PhD in Ancient Middle Eastern History. The psychology comes into play with my goals of opening my non-profit organization.
My future goals and plans are to receive my LCDC/LPC, then continue on to earn my MA and PhD in History. I want my LCDC/LPC to help counsel in my non-profit organization. It will be to help children of incarcerated parents and then help the offender reintegrate back into society. With the master’s and PhD I want to teach History.
All of my instructors have played a major role in my time here at Howard. I would have say Mr. Larry Logsdon and Mr. Gary Smith. They both have pulled out strengths and dreams I did not even know I had.
