Application Due Date: Kids College Applications are due no later than Monday, June 23, 2014.
Cost: The cost is 90.00 for the first child and 80.00 for each additional child for one week all-day session.
Lunch/Snacks: Lunch will be provided at no extra cost to children enrolled in both the morning and afternoon sessions. A mid-morning and mid-afternoon snack will be provided to all students.
Drop-Off/Pick-Up: Drop-off/pick-up will take place at the Student Union Building on the campus of Howard College. Please do not bring your child to Kid’s College before 7:45 am or pick them up later than 5:15 pm. No staff will be available at the drop-off/pick-up location before or after these times. If your child has to leave early one day for any reason a parent or guardian will have to check the student out with Leslie Owens in the Dean of Student Life office located in the Student Union Building.
Conduct: Basic standards of good behavior are expected of all students while on campus. While in class, adherence to the teaching/learning environment set by the teacher is expected. Students who display disruptive behavior will be removed from class, and parents will be called to pick up their child.
Class Cancellations: Classes may be cancelled if the minimum enrollment is not met. In case of a cancellation, you will be notified so that your child can be transferred to another class.
Graduation/Other Activities: A graduation ceremony will take place on Thursday July 10, 2014 from 4:00-4:30. This will be a very special occasion for your child. Please make plans to attend. Remember to check with your child each day for announcements about other activities.
Duct Tape Design - Let your minds run wild with imagination and learn to create works of art strictly with Duct Tape. Every color and print of Duct tape you can imagine will be our paint and brush. If you can dream it you can design it……… with Duct Tape! Supplies: An additional $10.00 supply fee for duct tape will be assessed for this class.
Magic - Abracadabra and Poof! Mystify and entertain your family and friends with tricks of the trade. Make objects appear, disappear, and change shapes. Supplies: An additional $15.00 supply fee for magic kit will be assessed for this class.
Cooking - Learn how to cook amazing treats and meals. After the cooking is over you get to eat all your hard work
Science - Learn about the scientific process and how to perform experiments. Also you will get to learn about the new technologies and have a ton of fun.
Survivor - Obstacle courses, challenges, and lots of FUN! Are you going to be able to survive all the totally fun contest and challenges!
Art - If you like working with your hands and want to learn to think creatively, come join us for all kinds of fun crafts.
Recreation - This class will offer you a fun time in recreation and yet you will learn some interesting things about sports and other activities.
